Chemical action is one of the key reasons for the aging of vulcanized rubber.
2. Activated oxygen: The organic chemical specificity of activated oxygen is much higher than that of oxygen, and it is more destructive. It also breaks the molecular structure chain, but the effect of activated oxygen on vulcanized rubber varies with the deformation of vulcanized rubber. As a vulcanized rubber used for deformation (mainly unsaturated fat vulcanized rubber), a crack perpendicular to the direction of in-situ stress appears, that is to say, "active oxygen cracking"; when used for deformation of vulcanized rubber, only the surface layer is converted into an air oxide Without cracking.
3. Heat: Raising the temperature can cause catalytic cracking or thermochemical crosslinking of the vulcanized rubber. But the basic effect of heat is still active. It improves the rate of oxygen external diffusion and active redox reaction, and then accelerates the rate of redox reaction of vulcanized rubber. It is a kind of aging condition of common phenomenon-thermal oxygen aging.
4. Light: The less microwaves, the greater the kinetic energy. It is ultraviolet light with high kinetic energy that can destroy the vulcanized rubber. In addition to ultraviolet light, the molecular structure chain of the vulcanized rubber can be immediately broken and chemically cross-linked. The vulcanized rubber causes mineral acid groups due to digestion and absorption of concentrated light to cause and accelerate the entire process of air oxidation chain reaction. Ultraviolet light plays the role of heating. Another characteristic of the light effect (unlike the heat effect) is that it is crucial to the surface of the oak. For specimens with a high glue content, cracks in the network structure will appear on both sides, which means that the "light surface cracks" are white.
